Yesterday a dharma discourse by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III on”The Intrinsically Existing Truth of No Arising and No Ceasing in the Universe and in Human Lives Realized by the Buddha Was Not Created by the Buddha” was released. It is a wonderful introduction to Imparting the Absolute Truth through the Heart Sutra that we will continue studying this year at the temple. We start February 7-14 and will include an opportunity for those attending the retreat to hear this dharma discourse that has both the voice of the Buddha Master and English translations. This powerful discourse not only clarifies who we are as a group, but it also explains why Buddhism is not a religion per se like Christianity, Daoism, Judism, islam, etc. It also explains why the Buddha Master is here in this world in this age and time. He explains how and why He is not teaching anything different from what Shakyamuni Buddha taught as to core principles, but He uses a different method of imparting these teachings to us because of our unique karmic conditions. Listen to Venerable Danbi Mozhi Longduo make that point in the video posted last week. HIs points are right on! This dharma discourse was given last October at the Holy Miracles Temple in Pasadena shown in that same video and the image above.
