Wrong Views on Propagating the Dharma

This was originally posted on February 24, 2020, but I believe it needs to be reposted as the concerns on what can and cannot be conveyed via internet are still valid and it is a worthy companion to the excellent video reposted above.

I posted a preliminary translation of an announcement/ clarification from the Office of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III that was distributed last year, but did not put sufficient emphasis on the content of this statement. It is very helpful and I urge you to read it in full as it explains a lot of what we can and cannot post on the internet and why that is so. It is about how to and how not to propagate the dharma. It also has very useful information on other practices that I think many of you will find useful. I had not read it carefully enough when I first received it and thought it was mostly of concern to the Chinese students, but any of you who are serious about your practice should read this. Just remember that this is still a preliminary and not an official translation.
