Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva Great Compassion Empowerment Held in Salt Lake City

Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva came to Salt Lake City and empowered those attending the Great Compassion Dharma Assembly last Saturday, April 8, 2023. After the solemn ceremony those attending shared their experiences and what they saw, heard, and felt while She was with us. Several participants found their hands formed mudras they had never done before while others sang new songs and danced as She instructed them. The offerings made at the ceremony were used to purchase Buddhist books for the inmates at the local State prison and to help support a local animal shelter.

On Sunday, April 9, Zhaxi Zhuoma gave a talk and shared a video on “How Buddhism Came to the West” at the Xuanfa Utah Dharma Center as a preview of the forthcoming class C41(A)-Three Principal Stages & Paths of Buddhist Practice. She explained that this would be an entry course to introduce the basic teachings of Buddhism and the progressive paths that are followed by the many, many sects and schools of Buddhism we now find in America. One does not need to be a Buddhist to benefit from the teachings of the Buddhas. CLICK for more information on the course. You may also download and distribute the course flyer below.
