We know that the SAUMOL is the holiest Buddha-dharma that H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III has transmitted in His current lifetime. It is the mind essence part of cultivation. Please understand that dharma practices, initiations, and other parts of the SAUMOL are not part of this text at this time. It should be noted that this is a dharma practice that is available to anyone including those who have taken refuge and those who have not and those who have various levels of initiation and those who have not received an initiation. Now, we can hear a preliminary translation of this dharma in English at the Holy Vajrasana Temple near Sanger, California and at other locations where I will read from the most recent available translation.
This blog has provided an introduction to the 128 Evil and Erroneous Views that are included in the The Supreme and Unsurpassable Mahamudra of Liberation (SAUMOL). Last spring I gave a status report on the English translation of the SAUMOL and promised to work to have an approved translation of the available text released asap. Although I have not yet been successful in that, I did finally get permission to at least be able to read a preliminary translation in English of the text (that has been available on line in Chinese for over eight years) to those who come to our temple for certain retreats and at other locations. We will hold the first such retreat next month from November 11-13. We will also go to Southern California before and after the retreat in Sanger where Suonan Ciren Rinopche will translate the three discourses that the Buddha Master has given on the SAUMOL to help us better understand the meaning of this special dharma and how to practice it.
