In 2021, the Taking Refuge Certificate was revised to include certain definitive tenets imparted by Buddha and revise the descriptions of other parts of the certificate. If you received the above certificate, it is not necessary that you take your refuge vows again, but you must abide by these tenets to attain any accomplishment or actualize any beneficial effects from whatever Buddha Dharmas you practice. We now have an approved English translation of the refuge certificate and these tenets from the Office of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. I will print the new certificates and issue a revised English version to anyone who would like to have one.
