We continued Dorje Pamu’s G36-Dharma that Every Buddhist Must Follow on September 5 continuing a discussion of Lesson Seven, “Twenty Types of Futility” with a discussion of the futility of being initiated when one does not abide by the Samaya Precepts; the futility of listening extensively to teachings on the Dharma when it does not benefit one’s heart; the futility of performing meritorious deeds when one also commits evil deeds; the futility of following the Master when one engages in wrong doing; the futility of being a teacher when one does not practice the Dharma and one also does evil; and the futility of one’s cultivation when one is moved by the Eight Winds. There was also discussion of the five divisions of inner-tantric initiations, the Samaya Precepts, and other Dharma matters.
We will continue this lesson on the other thirteen types of futility on September 12 at 9:00 am on ZOOM.
You should complete the prerequisites of G02 and C01, enroll in this course, AND register for the ZOOM link to join us in the Saturday morning group discussions. Everyone signing up who is enrolled in and attends the class may be given homework questions to discuss. You may also watch the videos of our discussions once you enroll in G36.
The following are links to the video of our ZOOM discussion of that class and previous sessions below. Please note that in the video of this class we heard the understanding expressed by the various participants, which may or may not be correct. To better understand the translation of all the actual quotes from Female Dharma King Dorje PaMu you need to read the text, Dharma That Every Buddhist Must Follow.
