After the Rains

Sunset on the reclaimed pond after the big rain.
Sunset on the reclaimed pond after the big rain.

The killer storm that hit California was wonderful for us. It was mostly a gentle soaking rain, but enough to give us some beautiful reflections in the pond. You can see we still need a lot of water to fill the pond, but this is a start. There are many places to stop and pause, even stay and meditate including the island, although we will need to get a small boat or canoe to get there. My neighbors tell me the previous owners of this property used to hold weddings on the island with the guests sitting under the giant eucalyptus tree while the bride and groom rowed to the island.

Setting sun catches the fall color and recent rain water in pond.
